The Institute of Rural Education-IRE (College of Teacher Education) is recognized under the section 14(3) of the NCTE Act and in accordance with the Regulations, 2014, the Eastern Regional Committee-ERC, NCTE for Conducting B.Ed. Prgrammes.
DURATION & SEAT INTAKE
The B.Ed. programme shall be of two(2) academic years which will be completed in a maximum duration of 3(Three) years as per BCTE Norms & Standards.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates with at least 50% marks in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity, Bachelor in Engineering or technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.
However, the reservation and relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per Central/State Government, whichever is applicable.
SELECTION PROCESS
Candidate shall be selected through Qualifying Test and Personal Interview.
APPLICATION & PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION
The application froms along with prospectus may be had from the college office counter on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) Only during office hour.
COURSE FEE & MODE OF PAYMENT
The selected candidates/students shall deposit the payable admission fee to the Manipur Rural Bank(MRB), Wangjing Branch or the Punjab national Bank(PNB), MG Avenue, Imphal Branch trough a challan issued by the Institute. A copy of the challan has to be re-submitted to the office of the Institute after deposit immediately for administrative purpose.
CONDITION
a) Tuition fee for one academic year shall have to be paid to the Bank account of the Institute at one time.
b) Fee once paid/deposited can not be refunded or adjusted in any form.
SYLLABUS
The syllabus will be as per the Manipur University.
ATTENDANCE
Teacher trainees on part time basis are not allowed to take admission in the Institute. In service candidates from private Institutions must seek study leave before the starting of the session. Enrolled candidates must attend a minimum attendance of 80% including practical classes.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Any students/Threadiness cannot become skilled/trained teachers without processing the different qualities of extra co-curricular activities. Our Institute has treated this skill as one of the most important tool for becoming completely trained teachers.
